The Greater Jefferson County Fair 2026 Partnership Plans

Dear Valued Potential Partner of the Fair,

Thank you for taking the time to read about the great things we offer to our community right here in Jefferson County. The Jefferson County Fair is made up of a Board of 15 volunteer members within our county who plan, organize and maintain what is known as the Greater Jefferson County Fair. Founded in 1851 and known for the birth place of the very first Iowa State Fair in 1854. We are proud to showcase what has become a tradition, year after year, of youth and open class education and competitions. The fair supports our local community and businesses promoting them during our full week of activities. A week devoted to Livestock/Static Shows, Grand Stand events, and endless Entertainment, such as the Queen, Princess, Junior Miss and Lil Miss contest.

For every fair year, our entertainment normally is scheduled in advance so we can book certain acts. We also have goals to preserve and improve our grounds every year. We have some big goals that we would like to share with our partners. We will need to replace our livestock facilities, time has taken its toll and we desperately need to replace old structures. We have made many improvements to our track with sound and seating. But, we plan to add a relaxing patio area to eat and drink within our Grandstand area. We are also working on a memorial brick paver entrance to the Grandstands.  In the future, we would love to have a Free Stage where we can have concerts and other youth events like the kids tractor pull.

We need supporters and partners like yourself to keep our tradition alive and thriving. You will find our levels of sponsorship have been updated for 2026. We are trying to make everything as flawless and simple as possible. We will be making banners for our top sponsors that we keep and hang in our covered Show Ring. We are changing from Fair books to Fair programs/schedules and will include our top sponsors on those. We will always continue to announce and promote all our wonderful partners. Memories are made at the fair!
